About Us

Our multidisciplinary healthcare team is composed of nurse practitioners, consulting physicians, psychologists, social workers, registered nurses, laboratory technicians, and health educators, supported by clinical and administrative support staff.

We provide both telehealth and on-site health care and mental health services for the UMass Boston Community. To ensure effective communication and understanding, we offer Language Line services for translations during appointments. This service allows us to provide high-quality care to patients who prefer or need communication in a language other than English.

Medical Services

UHS General Medicine provides preventive care, including immunization updates, tuberculosis screenings, sexual and reproductive health, sports physicals, gynecological care, contraception management, sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment, urgent care for minor illnesses and injuries, international travel vaccinations and services, infection control and evaluations, and flu shots.

Mental Health Services

The UHS Counseling Center provides consultation, assessment, crisis intervention, focused therapy, education and outreach, and referral assistance for mental health symptoms and concerns.

Health Education

The Health Education and Wellness program provides health information and outreach campaigns and programs focused on high-risk areas that impact college-aged populations, such as alcohol and other drugs, stress management, and mental health problems and prevention strategies.
