Biography
Dr. Diana Galvez is an experienced nurse educator, clinical and lab coordinator, and simulation instructor with expertise in curriculum design, online and distance learning, and student-centered teaching. Her background spans medical-surgical nursing, telemetry, and acute care, along with leadership in faculty development. She is dedicated to advancing nursing education that fosters health equity, cultural responsiveness, and student success.

Dr. Galvez’s areas of expertise include nursing education and curriculum development, online and distance learning pedagogy, clinical coordination, and simulation-based education. She also brings experience in medical-surgical nursing and acute care practice, fostering student engagement and effective classroom management. In addition, she is multilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which enhances her ability to support diverse student and patient populations.

Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Level 1 Coordinator in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Massachusetts Boston, Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Department of Nursing. Dr. Galvez has developed curricula, mentored students and faculty, and advanced the integration of innovative teaching methods to prepare future nurses for practice in diverse and evolving healthcare environments. She is also an active board member of multiple Sigma Theta Tau International chapters, contributing to leadership, mentorship, and community engagement in the nursing profession.
